Adding images to your WordPress posts enhances visual appeal and engages readers more effectively. High-quality visuals can break up text, making your content easier to read and more attractive. Additionally, well-chosen images can help illustrate key points, making your posts more informative and memorable.
- To insert an image, click the "Add Media" button in the post editor, upload or select an image from your media library, and adjust settings like alignment and size.
- Make sure you're in the "Upload Files" tab in the top-left corner
- Click on "Select Files" and choose the picture you would like to insert
- In the "Attachment Details" section on the right, you can:
- Edit the title of your image. Editing the title helps with SEO and makes it easier for search engines to understand the image’s content
- Add a caption. Adding a caption provides additional context and can make your post more engaging by offering relevant information or commentary.
- Provide a description. Providing a description improves accessibility and helps visually impaired readers understand the image’s content through screen readers, while also contributing to overall SEO.
- In the "Attachment Display Settings" section just underneath, you can:
- Select the alignment of your image
- Choose the size of your image
- Make sure the images you want to include are selected (indicated by a blue checkmark and border).
- Click "Insert into post" at the bottom.
- Please note:
- All selected images will be inserted at the cursor's location.
- You may need to manually arrange the images if you've already finished writing your post or add them individually to the correct sections.
