Real estate agents often use Google Slides for communications, presentations and virtual meetings. Instead of sharing an editable version, you can publish your slideshow so it plays cleanly on a website, in a message, or during a presentation — without giving others editing access.

Ways to use a published slideshow:

  • Link to it from your website or landing page
  • Share it by email, iMessage, or WhatsApp
  • Set it to auto-play at open houses or pre-sale presentation centers

Why publish instead of share?

Sharing the edit link gives people full access to change or delete the slideshow — not ideal for public content. Publishing makes it view-only and lets it auto-advance like a video.

Do NOT share the slideshow’s edit URL with anyone outside your organization. They could change or delete your content.

Before adding links or embedding the presentations to your website, keep in mind the "less is more" principle. Having too many links, buttons options on a webpage can make the design messy or crowd your navigation. Consider sending presentations as a welcome email, or reveal after somebody has registered to receive more information.

How to publish a Google Slides presentation:

  • Open your presentation
  • Go to File > Publish to web

  • If you want to share a link, choose Link. If you want to add this to your website, choose Embed.

  • Pick your settings:
    • Auto-advance timing (in most cases, turn it on)
    • Start automatically (in most cases, turn it on)
    • Loop slideshow
  • Click Publish
  • Copy and paste the link or embed code where needed

Once published, your slideshow will play in view-only mode — clean, professional, and easy to share.
